The Role Position PurposeWhat's the role -Are you an experienced Engineer with a passion for working on innovative technologies utilizing the automation and control domain while developing technical competences and expertise in virtual teams? You'll grow as a leader in a high- performing team playing a key role interfacing with regional and global teams in a challenging environment.You will ensure Asset Integrity and Process Safety (AIPS) as it pertains to Instrumentation, Controls and Electrical discipline during operation and execution of maintenance and projects. You will be responsible for go/no go decisions, as representative of the Technical Authority, during execution based on codes and legislation logged in the Inspection Test Plans, Flagging non-conformities on AIPS, flagging non-conformities to have a follow-up or mitigation in place and propose solutions for mitigations on AIPS in Process Automation and Control (PACO) and Electrical discipline.As Instrumentation Control & Electrical (ICE) Discipline Engineer, you will coordinate with 'PCD IT site focal point' (Terminal Manager) to remain in compliance against TOM chapter 14.Ensure, compliance to DEM1 DEP 32.01.20.12-Gen. Industrial Automation & Control System (IACS) Security coordinating the PM's for applicable projects.As Technical Authority (TA3) you provide technical assurance and technical support for Process Control Domain (PCD) interfacing with Information Technology (IT) to manage critical system availability and other experts in Shell or external to Shell.Responsible for Cyber security defense is in place against the threat of attach via local domains linking to Shell network as defined in TOM (Terminal Operation Manual) chapter 14 and IRM (Information Risk Management) requirements.Responsible for design and implementation and improvement of PCD components (as such SCADA, Flow computer, DCS, PLC design, ATGs, etc) including engineering aspect related to Terminal Automation System (TAS) interface as it applies to US East terminals. Responsible to advise and resolve the day to day PACO issues.Ensure Availability and Reliability of PACO system across US East terminals. Trouble shoot PACO issues across US East terminals and work with PACO contractors to implement changes as requiredSupport operations to achieve compliant automation systems.Ensure fit for purpose digitalization and implementation in US East terminals of latest automated functionality e.g. Wireless networks connectivity, remote operator, GSAP connectivity for mobile devices etc. and continuously improve.Act as TA-3 Assurance role for implementation of new technologies as they are introduced to the business. Support technical assurance of Projects Controls Assurance Plan (PCAP) and Asset Control Assurance List (ACAL) for US East terminals when called upon.Knowledge in SIS & safeguarding as it applies to Terminals. Skilled in developing and implementing Field instrumentation as required for Terminal operations.Trouble shoot Electrical issues across US East terminals and work with Electrical contractors to implement changes as required. Support and work hand in hand with ICE Lead in implementing Electrical Safety Rules (ESR) as required.Ensure control framework compliance, with specific focus on Electrical Safety Rules, acting as focal point to ensure ESR are up to date and aligned with Health Safety Security Environment Control Framework (HSSE CF) and regulatory requirements.Act as TA3 for I&M as per Distribution Global Asset Management Excellence (DGAME) manual and for Project design with a good network in ICE discipline.Ensure compliance and adherence to Hazardous Area Classification (DGAME Improvement Plan update document) and development of Single line diagrams within the US East terminals.Ensure electrical drawings and procedures are kept up to dateEnsure adequate Electrical Contractor Management process is in place, acting as Contract Holder to drive consistency and compliance across the terminal within US East terminalsWhile the role is positioned to support US East terminals at times will be called upon to support Canada and US west assets based on requirements.
