Description Candidates looking to grow with a thriving company will be interested in this Accounts Receivable (A/R) position. As the permanent Accounts Receivable Clerk, you will work in the Kenner, Louisiana region. If you are good at entering, posting and reconciling batches, researching and resolving customer A/R issues, preparing aging reports, placing billing and collection calls, maintaining cash receipts journal, and updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L, this role might be right for you.
How you will make an impact
- Provide information as requested to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stake holders
- Handle payments and compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP
- Verify the correctness of documents and codes
- Follow standard procedures to execute general accounting tasks
- Work with clients to solve payment issues; set up payment plans as needed
- Post and balance financial information in a number of ledgers while reconciling bank accounts
- Support, relate, and strengthen the mission, values and culture of the organization Requirements - Experience with Billing Collection
- Adeptness in commercial collections
- Accounts Receivable (AR) experience
- Collection Processes experience
- Foundational knowledge in commercial collections
- Expertise in Billing Collection
- Knowledgeable of ERP systems
- Strong analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy
- 3+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable
- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field
- Excellent attention to detail
