working with Cynet Health to find a qualified SICU RN in New
Orleans, Louisiana, 70121! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession:
Nursing Specialty: Surgical Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years in
specialty required License: Compact or state license in hand upon
submission Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required Must-Have:
Experience with high acuity ICU patients Experience in transplant
recovery (liver, heart, lungs, kidney, pancreas) Preferred
experience with pulmonary artery catheters and balloon pumps Epic
experience required Description: The position involves caring for
high acuity ICU patients. The patient ratio is 1:2. There is a
float requirement to other ICUs and step-down units. Travel
experience is required. Candidates should have charge experience.
Experience with Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy is essential.
Skills required include managing ventilated patients,
interpretation of dysrhythmias, and blood product administration.
Candidates should be comfortable with managing patients with
multisystem organ dysfunction/failure. The unit treats cardiac
surgery patients, transplant patients, and general surgery cases.
Candidates are expected to work weekends as needed. Pre-Approved
Time Off must be discussed during the interview process. NURSYS
reports for RNs must be up to date prior to submission. Candidates
must provide references if required. Candidates will undergo
orientation and complete modules, which are factored in orientation
hours. No call-ins are accepted. Compensation details will be
discussed during the interview process. Preference will be given to
