registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1 years RN experience

be considered. A full-time Registered Nurse position is available
in the New Orleans, LA area to support schools in Jefferson Parish.
This role requires a dedicated RN who will serve as the primary
school nurse, providing expert medical care and support to students
within one or two assigned schools. Candidates must be open to
assignments throughout the district, including both East Bank and
West Bank locations, based on where the greatest need exists. Key
responsibilities include managing individualized healthcare plans,
performing screenings and medical procedures such as tracheostomy
and gastrostomy tube care, and supporting diabetic students. The
nurse will also play a critical role in training non-medical staff,
maintaining accurate documentation, and collaborating effectively
with educators and families to support students health and
well-being. Strong communication skills and proficiency with
technology platforms such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google
Sheets are essential to excel in this role. Qualifications: Current
RN licensure; BSN preferred but ASN accepted Previous school
nursing experience required Familiarity with trachs, G-tubes,
diabetic care, and IEP-related procedures Experience training and
delegating tasks to non-medical personnel Ability to adapt to
different school environments and work collaboratively Successful
completion of drug screening and fingerprinting as mandated by the
district Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week (7 hours/day plus
unpaid 30-minute lunch), Monday through Friday, following the
school calendar. This contract position offers the opportunity to
