Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PreOp / PACU - Post Anesthesia Care - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/09/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: Registered Nurse - PACU Job Details: • Provide pre-operative, Phase I and Phase II recovery care for pediatric and adult patients • Care for patients across all major surgical services with exception to those requiring critical care • Patient ratio of 1:2 • 2-3 scheduled weekends per contract • Must be comfortable working with pediatric patients of all ages • Work in department supporting 34 operating rooms on 2 floors • Care for patients from endoscopy, interventional radiology, and pulmonary lab procedures • Handle regional anesthesia and ECT procedures • Use specialized equipment including Hoyer lift, bladder scanner, and Accuvein • Epic charting system experience required • 2 years of nursing experience required • Travel experience required • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS • Must live over 65 miles from facility (no local travelers accepted) • Preferred PACU or Pre/Post Op experience • Must be available for emergency team assignments during facility emergency events • Orientation held 5 days a week with billable modules Facility: This major medical center features a comprehensive surgical department with 34 operating rooms across two floors, including specialized cysto suites, pediatric GI/lithotripsy rooms, and CT/MRI preparation areas.
