Job Description:
JOB PURPOSE: Ensure the development, implementation, operation
and evaluation of the Disaster Case Management program. Ensure
program serves and meets the needs of disaster affected individuals
and familist Promote Endeavors programs throughout the community.
Ensure program is compliant with all contractual agreements and
guidelines. The program manager shall direct, plan, organize,
coordinate, and supervise the staff in FEMA's Disaster Case
Management Program. ***This position is contracted. -Job
Requirements:ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify community needs and opportunities for program
expansion and growth. Pursue new revenue sources. Develop and
deliver marketing presentations. Complie and submit proposals for
program implementation. Promote the success and reputation of the
Disaster Case Management Program.
- Work collaboratively with other relief and recovery
organizations to facilitiate the coordination of response and
recovery services. Secure cooperation from community partners and
resources. Oversee the delivery of daily program services.
- Monitor and evaluate effectivenes
- Maintain open lines of communication with contracted and
referring agencies, community collaborations, and staff. Schedule
weekly, montly, and quarterly meetings and provide ongoing feedback
and updates. Ensure all concerns are resolved in a timely and
satisfactory manner.
- Prepare and manage the annual budget. Operate department in an
efficient, cost-effective manner. Monitor budget of revenue goals
and expenses. Implement cost containment as needed to stay within
budget parameters.
- Supervise direct reports
- Interview, Make quality hiring decisions, train and mentor in
best practices, policies and procedures.
- Set individual staff goals, monitor performance; document as
necessary, provide ongoing feedback and timely evaluations
- Develop staff for advancement and to ensure continuity of
program
- Perform administrative duties in a timely and accurate manner;
routine communications, review and update program policies and
procedures, weekly, monthly and quarly reports as required and
requested.
- Stay current in the field of Disaster Services, Emergency
Management and related social services
- Network with other professionals in the field
- Read related periodcals and websites
- Attending training to enhance knowledge and training
skills
- Demonstrate exceptional customer service, in everything you do,

themselves, their families and their communities' ESSENTIAL
QUALIFICATIONS: - EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or
related field; Master's in social work preferred. Crisis Management
Training. - EXPERIENCE: 5+ years managing a social service program.
3+ years as a supervisor; supervision of distance employees a plus.
Experience with disaster and emergency services. - ATTENDENCE: Must
maintain regular and acceptable attendence at such a level as is
determined in the employer's sole discretion. - LICENSES: Driver's
License with clear record. - TRANSPORTATION: Reliable vehicle
required. Must have a daily use of a vehicle without prior notice.
- TRAVEL: Must be available and willing to travel to various
locations and with such frequency as the business need dictates.
Must be available and willing to work nights, weekends, and
holidays as required to meet business needs, including deployment
within 24 hours to disaster locations for as long as 2-4 weeks.
Must not pose a direct threat or significant risk -of substantial
harm to the safety or health of himself/herself or others. - OTHER:
-Must pass criminal and related background check - EXCEPTIONS TO
THESE CRITERIA MUST BE APPROVED BY THE DEPARTMENT HEAD. -
