Job Description:
This position assumes responsibility for the delivery of patient
care that promotes safety and well-being of all patients in the
assigned department(s) on a twenty four hour basis; plans, directs,
coordinates, and evaluates the overall clinical nursing practice
and administrative activities, including fiscal, material and human
resource management. Participates in the development and
implementation of hospital policies and procedures, maintains open
communication with all staff and administrative team to promote
improvement in performance, assumes responsibility for the role of
administrative supervisor as needed, and provides leadership and
support to encourage the optimum development and performance of
each staff member. EducationRequired - -Registered Nurse Diploma
Preferred - -Master's degree in NursingWork ExperienceRequired - -3
years-clinical nurse experience and one year of experience in a
hospital environment for position as a manager, supervisor or
charge nurse .CertificationsRequired - Current RN License in the
state of practice, BLSPALS required if employed in area that treats
pediatric population Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

within a healthcare setting, there may be occupational risk for
exposure to hazardous medications or hazardous waste within the
environment through receipt, transport, storage, preparation,
dispensing, administration, cleaning and/or disposal of
contaminated waste. The risk level of exposure may increase
depending on the essential job duties of the role.
