  Position Summary:
  
  Responsible for day-to-day management and coordination of the Hospital's Case Management and Utilization Review program. Provides direct supervision to case managers and social workers. Oversees and directs the day-today departmental activities to ensure quality services for both internal and external customers. - Serves as a resource to, and collaborates with case managers and social workers to appropriate services and resources are arranged for the timely discharge of patients. Also, provides care management services, including assessment, case management, discharge planning, and utilization management on an as needed basis.
  Qualifications
  
• Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current licensure to practice as an RN in the state of Louisiana. BLS certification through the American Heart Association required.
  
• Education: - Bachelor's degree required.
  
• Experience: Broad based clinical care experience in an acute care facility, minimum of 5-7 years of applicable experience in occupational field.
  
  
  
  
• Special qualifications: Must be able to successfully complete established competencies for the position within designated probationary period. - Should possess leadership skills, and management experience. - Must be able to work as a team member with peers, other managers, staff and senior leadership. - Excellent oral and written communication skills are desirable. - Must be able to withstand the stress and demands of an active position.
