Location: Kenner, LASalary: $90,000 to $100,000 plus bonusDescription: The Judge Group is currently seeking an experienced Quality Assurance/Quality Control Manager--for a beverage manufacturer in the Kenner, LA area. The right candidate will have 8+ years of experience working in the food industry with 2+ years in a management capacity in beverage and either SQF Quality Standard experience.COMPENSATION: $90,000 to $100,000 plus bonus (Depending on experience) Relocation assistance offered for the right candidate.MUST HAVE: A bachelor's degreeMUST HAVE: SQF certification (not just worked in a facility that is certified)MUST HAVE: 8+ years of manufacturing experience with 2+ years in a management capacityMUST HAVE: The desire to be out on the floor and not at a desk in an office and a buck stops here attitudeMUST HAVE: Food manufacturing experiencePREFER TO HAVE: Beverage packaging experienceResponsibilities:- Direct the quality control department and staff including performance evaluations, discipline, terminations and promotions- Acts as the SQF Practitioner and champion- Ensure products meet quality requirements- Draft acceptable quality standards- Implements quality testing and evaluation processes- Assesses test results and approve changes- Reviews quality control documentation (Checklists, logs, reports)- Perform random and standardized inspections and quality control checks- Reports status of quality control and operations required for regulatory agencies- Serves as the primary Gluten Free Certification (GFCO) contactRequirements:- Bachelor's degree (Biology, Food Science or related)- 8+ years of experience as a food quality specialist- Must have HACCP training certification- Must have Better Process Control School (BPCS) CertificationContact: djohnson@judge.comThis job and many more are available through The Judge Group.
