Job Description:

We've teamed up with a leading natural resources and industrial company that’s seeking a Lead Civil Structural Designer for a key leadership role in driving design projects from concept through execution. This position will lead a team of designers, establish CAD best practices, and ensure design quality, consistency, and efficiency across projects. Based out of the company’s GNO area office, this is a direct hire position offering a flexible hybrid remote work schedule, along with competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package. Key Responsibilities Lead, manage, train, and mentor a team of designers Establish and maintain CAD standards, best practices, and workflows Coordinate design reviews and project CAD setup Allocate design resources and assess technical skillsets of new team members Collaborate with engineering disciplines to align procedures and interfaces Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables Educate engineering teams on software tools and design methodologies Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering OR Associate’s degree in Drafting & Design or related field 5 years of engineering design experience, including leadership of design teams Expertise with industry-standard CAD tools Knowledge of efficient plant layout and industrial design practices Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills Strong background in developing and implementing CAD standards
