Hiring Staff Accountant:We are currently seeking a highly motivated Staff Accountant that is a great team player. The primary responsibility is to support the Controller in general ledger, payroll, and a variety of other accounting duties. Staff Accountants play a key role on our team and contribute to the overall success of our team.The ideal candidate for this position has no less than one year of accounting experience (verifiable), Accounting Degree or equivalents, with an understanding of GAAP. Must pass applicable pre-employment screenings, drug test, and physical; as well as, possess a valid driver's license. Role & Responsibilities:Perform month end close reports and journal entries for all companiesPrepare bank reconciliations as part of month end closingEnter monthly General Ledger Journal entriesPrepare inter-company reconciliations of payables and receivables, including invoices to related companiesPerform all activities necessary to process weekly payroll, including time card review, time card entry, and verification of job costingComply with all requirements for certified payroll jobsPrepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual federal and state payroll tax reports (W-2, W-3, 940, 941, L-2, L-1, SUTA, 1095, etc.)Document and update all payroll proceduresProvide support to employees with payroll questionsSupport accounts payable when neededPost vendor invoices and write checks for smaller companiesOther duties and projects as assignedQualifications:Bachelor's Degree (B.S. in Accounting preferred)Minimum of 1 year experience is preferredTeam player who possess' a strong work either and maintains a positive attitudeDemonstrate effective communication skills (interpersonal, oral, and written)Must be detail orientedOrganizational and analytical skillsIntermediate to advanced excel skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Ability to learn various database and software programsDisclaimer: Cycle Construction Co.
