*JOB TITLE: System Director, Emergency Medicine*Contributes to SCP Health and Baton Rouge Generals goals as a leader in the provision of Emergency Medicine practice management. Accountable to lead and direct clinical and operational services at a designated group of Emergency Medicine practices. Responsible to establish, deploy, and maintain consistent patient care and patient management practices sufficient to ensure high quality and consistent clinical operational performance. Maintain oversight and overall accountability for the quality of care and medical practice performance provided with and through the EM providers. The System Director will be accountable for ensuring that at each assigned practice, ED performance is at or above established standards in Patient Satisfaction, throughout measures, provider engagement, provider retention, and Medical Director performance. Principally responsible for the effective deployment of agreed upon clinical/operational strategies and tactics.The responsibilities as outlined below shall be more specifically expanded and refined in accordance with those goals and objectives routinely established by SCP Health and Baton Rouge General and additionally, by virtue of and commensurate with the obligations and commitments made to our patients and client hospitals.*DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILIITES:**SERVICE*a. Accountable for the effectiveness of the systems physician leaders to ensure a high level of performance, satisfaction, and retention of Medical Directors and clinical providers (Physician, NP, & PA);b. Ensure the delivery of consistent, timely, and effective process improvement initiatives sufficient to positively impact the performance of the EM practice environment;c. Diligent oversight, direction, and leadership on the startup processes for new programs with existing hospital client;d. Establish and execute on shared goals and related strategic priorities with hospital client service teams, SCP Health central office departments, providers and hospital client representatives ;e. Exhibits/delivers timely, thorough, consistent, clear, and effective communication to all internal SCP Health stakeholders and employees as well as providers, medical directors, and/or client representatives;f. Build and lead a high performance workplace culture that contributes to a high level of employee and provider satisfaction and retention which leads to client satisfaction and retention;g. Facilitate a high level of effective collaboration with the SCP Health central office department leaders; andI. Proactive in any and all problem avoidance initiatives.*BUSINESS*a. Working collaboratively with Group business leaders, responsive to SCP Health in regards to financial conditions and opportunities in support of revenue and growth goals for the Group.b. Accountable for the Group's performance in the achievement of clinical operations in response to unanticipated revenue challenges or opportunities; andc. Actively participate in internal clinical process improvement initiatives.*PERFOMANCE MEASURES (Objective)*a. Group meets/exceeds assigned clinical benchmarks;b. Patient Satisfaction meets/exceeds goals as established by client and/or SCP Health;c. Assist with effective and efficient provider scheduling practices/procedures to perform within established performance benchmarks;d. Establish fully staffed provider groups, with a high retention rate, each with an established high performing Medical Director;e. Effective, efficient, and timely Physician Orientation & Attestation practices; andm. Monitors Effective Provider Costs and Additional Pay to maintain these within budgeted parameters and to correct as possible.*Operational Skill Sets (preferred)*a. Strong and effective leadership;b. Highly efficient and organized;c. Strong communication and oral presentation skills;d. Highly refined and effective relationship management skills;e. Consistently accountable, responsible, and available; andf.
